"location excellent only 5 min walk from the central/tourist areas of Helsinki"
Accome Hotel Apartments Parliament's location excellent only 5 min walk from the central/tourist areas of Helsinki. Breakfast was OK - its in a small restaraunt next door, only problem is that its very small and you can find yourself without a table to sit at.

"a nice, inexpensive, no-frills place"
Accome Hotel Apartments Parliament is a nice, inexpensive, no-frills place to stay near the heart of Helsinki. The rooms are nice and large but the single beds are just that -- typical, european style single beds. The hotel itself is on a relatively quiet street within a 10 minute walk to the city center.

"Terrific Tolo"
My wife and I stayd here from the 16th to the 20th June. The location is fine...only a 10 min walk from the city centre and in an elegant and quiet street. The reception area is small and no one is there after hours and at weekends but there is a 24hr phone connection to the main hotel in Sweden from the foyer.
Our room was spacious and seemed to be new redecorated with expensive fittings including a very neat kitchen and dining table. There was a good view over the street and down to the nearby church from our window and there seemed to be almost no traffic on the road. Breakfast is served in the adjoining Tapas Bar and was very fresh and acceptable. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and helpful. A good bar just down the road to join the locals on the sidewalk in the sun and have a beer or three.
I had trouble finding available accommodation at this time of year (24hr daylight) in Helsinki, so I think I was really lucky to find this terrific place at and at a reasonable price for what we got. We caught the very cheap and frequent airline bus into town when we arrived and got off at the Intercontinental Hotel stop. The only stop before the bus terminal at the railway station. This stop is only two blocks from the hotel.
