Ideal for limited budgets
The Eurohostel is an excellent choice for any kind of traveller with a limited budget. The hostel has absolutely fantastic location within walking distance to beautiful streets and tram station. Eurohostel provides basic rooms/beds with clean linens and beds. I will definately stay here again. In my opinion, don't look for another hotel just to pay much more to lay on the bed. Spend your money with a boat tour. |

Nice hostel
I stayed here with my parents and even though it was a hostel we had a great stay. Our room was clean ,quiet and well presented. The staff were great and very helpful. It's only a 5 min walk from the ferry terminal and 10 min into the city.We highly recommend the boat trip around the island and a half day trip out to Sommelinna Island. You won't be dissapointed booking into here. |

"Very, very, very good"
I stayed at this hostel in April 2000 on a 3-4 day visit. I found the staff to be very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were very clean, and had a secure swipe card for entry (rather than keys). There are nice communal sitting areas, and a free sauna (which I enjoyed greatly). The hostel is located very close to the port. It's extremely quiet, but refreshing in the morning when you step outside and breathe in the pure Finnish air. You can also take a short walk to see the huge cruise liners coming in to dock. If you go to Helsinki, stay here. If you dislike it, send me hate mail!

"Great Hostel!"
My wife & I stayed there for our honeymoon! Yes, we decided to be "a little different" (everyone ALWAYS goes to Hawaii/Tahiti/Vegas, etc.) My wife's ancestors hail from Finland, so we decide to try and trace her roots a little bit. Since we don't have "Bill Gates money," hostels were the only viable option for our 3-week stay. The EuroHostel was our favorite hostel in all of Finland. It is very modern, clean, and really close to the excellent streetcar line which takes you right down the Esplanadi. The place is like a really clean college dorm. Everyone was friendly to us. We were the only Americans in the entire building...and I was the only asian-american in the whole city, it seemed! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here. In fact, we will DEFINITELY stay there when we visit again in the near future. |
