Sokos Torni Hotel is situated in the center of Helsinki, close to the main shopping area, the central station and the harbor.

"Comfortable and well equipped"
Having read the previous review of this hotel on the site I was rather apprehensive, From the outside it seems nothing special but inside it is undergoing total renovation. I was however pleasantly surprised. Room was comfortable and well equipped - huge double bed, air conditioning, safe, tv, ironing board and iron (a nice touch for the crumpled business traveller), mini bar and phone, plus usual en-suite bathroom equipment. Breakfast room is large with good range on offer although the hot food is not quite as good as the cold food. Upstairs (12th floor) bar with roof terrace is small but friendly and offers good views over the city. Only downside is the lifts are small and you may have to wait a while. All in all it seems very good and should be excellent once renovation is completed.
